IMPLANT

Implant cases require planning, patience and precision. They also require a dental lab that knows what to do in any given situation. We live in the real world and know that most implant cases are not easy. Issues with implant placement and aesthetic concerns can cause an endless cycle of worry.

From single unit restorations to full-arch digital workflows, we also offer the best results from start to finish.

IMPLANT DESIGN SERVICES

We offer Implant Placement Services and 3D-Printed Surgical Stents for guided procedures, from a single implant to a full-arch restoration. To get started, all we need from you are: (1) a DICOM file, and (2) STLs/digital scans of the patient or a study model.

Implant placement is critical for an esthetic outcome. We produce hundreds of implant restorations every month and, unfortunately, see the occasional case where improper placement can compromise the final result. Let us help you from the start - before the implant is placed - resulting in your patient walking happily out the door with a great-looking smile.

We work with every implant system so you can choose the company where you are most familiar and comfortable. The surgical stents are designed for precise placement and include the correct sleeves for the implant system.

Also offered are bone reduction guides, transitional dentures, and chairside conversions.  Call us for more information.

PHOTOGRAMMETRY

Photogrammetry! Have you heard about it? It seems like everyone is talking about it right now. Photogrammetry today is really just using a special scanner and scanbodies to map multiple implants for a full-arch restoration in a very accurate 3D workflow.

The most popular system right now is called iCAM, but there is also IPG, PIC, MicronMapper, and Grammee. The purpose is to combine the implant position verification with the final implant scan to shorten the time needed for a final restoration, and to use a pure digital workflow.  The proprietary domino-looking scanbodies are made of titanium and can easily be aligned in our software.

NORTHSHORE Dental Laboratories, Inc. happily accepts photogrammetry scans and with proper planning, can turn-around a PMMA or 3D-Printed prototype/temporary prosthesis within just a few days of the scan. If the try-in is successful, scan the prosthesis in the mouth so we can see how it looks and give us the go-ahead to finish the case with zirconia.

We’ll need the photogrammetry scans, a scan of the opposing, and of the current prosthesis/conversion denture. Proper calibration of the photogrammetry scanner is of the utmost importance. Does photogrammetry solve all of our full-arch problems? No, but this new workflow is gaining in popularity and can produce great results.  Give us a call to start planning a case today.
