Leading the Way
Chris Peterson and Elizabeth Farley are the sister-brother co-owners of NORTHSHORE Dental Labs, taking over from their father, Tom Peterson, in mid-2022.
Elizabeth Farley grew up in Nahant, and attended Boston University where she earned a B.A. in Archaeology. She furthered her education in London with a M.Sc. in Skeletal and Dental Bioarchaeology at University College London. At Northshore Dental, she became an accomplished Porcelain technician and developed the CAD/CAM department into the powerhouse it is today.
She resides on the North Shore with her husband, two kids, a cockapoo, and Siamese cat.
Chris Peterson had his very first job at Northshore Dental Labs, at 15 years old. After living in Los Angeles for 11 years, he returned to pursue a career in dental laboratory technology, becoming a CDT focused on implants. He has worked to improve many of the lab's systems including milling and 3D printing and is always pushing to make the lab better.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His children have no plans to become dental technicians...yet.
From Yesterday to Now
In 1964, Alfred Peterson started Northshore Dental Porcelains Laboratories, Inc. in Boston and soon built a state-of-the-art lab in Lynn, where the company is still located today.
His son, Tom Peterson, took NORTHSHORE Dental Laboratories to new heights starting in 1985. Tom became a Certified Dental Technician in 1986 and a Master of Dental Technology in 1995. He graduated from the Harvard Seminars in Implant Dentistry program in 1988. He is the recipient of the John Griffin Technician of the Year award in 2007. He has lectured extensively on dental implant technology and is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration. Tom was one of the first technicians in the United States to embrace CAD/CAM technology.
Tom retired in 2022, but is an advisor for the lab and will continue to provide help and advice to continue Northshore Dental Labs' reputation as a top-tier facility.
Our team of highly-skilled technicians are the heart-and-soul of our lab and handle all restorations, ensuring aesthetics, durability and the use of quality materials.
